Victoria Beckham has said she wants a girl because who else will the mother of three sons will all her shoes and bags to when the time comes? However, Beckham’s own womanhood comes first, a source told Closer magazine. “She looks incredible, but always seems to have more work planned. She’s always been incredibly body-conscious and she’s had small amounts of work done slowly so the change isn’t that noticeable.”

Beckham’s body issues came out around the release of her sexy mom-and-pop photo shoot for Armani Lingerie, for which she and husband David posed. A source close the couple told the UK Daily Express of the shoot, “[Victoria] adores the pics but she is extremely critical of her body and finds fault with everything. She says her stomach has been reworked with make-up and lighting and she is grateful for that.” How much of that was make up and photoshop is unclear, however, with another friend telling Closer, “Victoria has had laser treatment for her stretch marks plus the tummy tucks.”

Closer also reported the sum total of 35-year-old Beckham’s upkeep as over $200k currently, including two nose jobs, a brow lift, two tummy tucks, liposuction in the thighs, cosmetic dentistry, Botox and laser treatments for stretch marks.

“Because fashions change every season, she seems to think she needs a new nip or tuck so her clothes look good. David loves her with no make-up, wearing her glasses and a dressing gown. He tells her she doesn’t need more work,” the source added.

A reported 5.3 million viewers during its most recent season wasn’t enough. Several Emmy nominations and even one Emmy award wasn’t enough.

ABC network representatives have confirmed the rejection of Ugly Betty’s fifth season, with plans to end the show in 2010. The network cites low numbers as the cause – despite attempts to gain viewers by shuffling the show from Friday to Wednesday, airing it after the popular Cougar Town.

“We’ve mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty‘s final season,” executive producer Silvio Horta and ABC President Steve McPherson said in a joint statement, according to Yahoo! TV Blog. “We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell.”

Ugly Betty won an “Outstanding Leading Actress” Emmy award for star America Ferrera in 2007. The show also included three Emmy nominations for co-star Vanessa Williams, who played catty, power-hungry former supermodel Wilhelmina Slater.

On the show, Slater depends comedically on plastic surgery to maintain her features; in real life, Williams, now 46, has consulted some injectables herself. A MakeMeHeal.com story included comparison photos, plus comments she made to Barbara Walters admitting her love of wrinkle remover. “I certainly do Botox, which I definitely think that almost every woman that I know has,” she said. “And it’s a miracle drug, no cutting, nothing … I did it after I turned 40, but I told the doctor, ‘My face has got to move. I am not looking for perfection, I am looking for refreshment.’”

The Yahoo! blog added that the show has generally always been a high-profile turnout. Cameos included guest stars such as Salma Hayek, Lindsay Lohan, Martha Stewart, Naomi Campbell, Victoria Beckham and Lucy Liu.

Despite all the plusses, though, and the show’s popularity, it’s on its way out.

Megan Fox’s new campaign for Armani was unveiled today, revealing her attempt at out-poshing Posh Spice, who along with husband David Beckham represented the upscale underwear line last season.

The “come-hither shots are frankly better than expected,” writes Gabriel Bell for New York Magazine. The photographers “have smoothed down some of Fox’s natural ‘hardness,’ adding intrigue to what was becoming a tired image (the digital removal of every one of her many tattoos didn’t hurt, either),” said Bell.

Emporio Armani chose Fox for the campaign because “Megan is young and sexy and has a lot of spirit,” said Giorgio Armani, adding that his brands are “all about a youthful attitude, making her the perfect choice for the collections.”

The shots may have needed less retouching than the Beckham’s collection in part due to the fact that Victoria Beckham felt self-conscious about her stomach after having had three kids. She even swore she would never show her midsection, and told People she looked awful naked. “I’ve got so much saggy skin on my stomach. I might fit into jeans, but trust me, I look really awful naked,” she said in the interview. After the shoot she said the crew at Armani had done some excellent Photoshopping.

However, Fox may have had work done prior to the shoot that eliminated the need for such digital touch ups . Dr. Tony Youn of the Celebrity Plastic Surgery blog says of Fox, “There are two surgeries that people have focused on: rhinoplasty and breast augmentation. If I would have to guess, I’d say that she’s benefited from both.”

And since Fox shows both off on her new photos, she most likely got her money’s worth.

Victoria Beckham was invited on American Idol as a guest judge to help fill the void that Paula Abdul left when she exited the show last season. But Beckham failed to live up to the challenge of replacing Paula and opened Idol’s first season with failure, according to some critics.

“The night’s saddest failure, however, was guest judge Victoria Beckham, who actually made plenty of appealing comments…but whose gaunt appearance was so off-putting it might have cost her the slot DeGeneres eventually won,” wrote a reviewer in the Los Angeles Times. A writer at the Village Voice also weighed in, saying: “[Victoria's] face is just too crazy for the close-up, and she has nothing to add to the commentary… I always thought a British accent made people sound smart but I guess I was wrong.”

It’s probably safe to say that none of these accusations are new; no one has ever accused the former Spice Girl of having talent, and whispers of anorexia have never been far from the star. She told Now magazine, “I’ve been accused of not eating for 10 years. If I hadn’t eaten for 10 years, I’d be hungry… I think there’s a big difference between someone having an eating disorder and someone who is controlled about what they eat. I think I could do with putting on some weight, but this is the way I am.”

Beckham did have her breast implants downsized in the summer of 2009 to make them less obtrusive on her lithe frame. The Sun reported, “Victoria has wanted her implants taken out for a while. She felt that was part of her old WAG image — the big hair, big boobs, fake tan — and that she has moved on since those days.” At least she gave up the comically sized implants.

In a recent interview with Allure Magazine, Victoria Beckham had a no-nonsense answer to a simple question: Do you prefer sex or sleep? Beckham told the magazine, “I’m getting into bed with David Beckham every night – so, you know, there’d be something wrong if I said sleep!”

It might have something to do with her lack of attire. Beckham says she doesn’t wear anything to sleep in, except for the occasional nightie set from husband David’s favorite store.

However, the former Spice girl has a little less to fill those nighties out with these days — the model turned singer turned footballer’s wife had her implants removed this past summer. Beckham, who started out as a 34A, increased her bust size once to 34D and then went DD before having the operation.

A source close to the star told the UK Sun, “Victoria has wanted her implants taken out for a while. She felt that was part of her old WAG image – the big hair, big boobs and fake tan – and that she has moved on since those days.”

Beckham is slated to star as part of the cast in the animated feature Madagascar 3, also starring Ben Stiller, David Schwimmer and Chris Rock. The film is currently in production and is expected to open in 2012.

Megan Fox is in, and Posh is out in the newest Armani lingerie ads. The Transformers and Jennifer’s Body star is set to replace Britain’s biggest WAG as the face of Armani lingerie. Fox’s ads will hit sometime in January, and the star will also be the face representing the brand’s premium jean line.

It was also recently announced that David Beckham would be replaced on the men’s side of Armani by 24-year-old Real Madrid soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. Unlike the Beckhams, Fox and Ronaldo will not appear in any of the ads together.

Victoria Beckham had expressed concern about exposing so much skin while shooting the ads, saying she was self conscious about showing her stomach, which bears the telltale signs of three pregnancies.

A source close to Posh told the UK Daily Express, “She adores the pics but she is extremely critical of her body and finds fault with everything. She says her stomach has been reworked with make-up and lighting and she is grateful for that.”

Victoria Beckham is well-known for her plastic surgery, and is rumored to have increased her chest size from B to DD with implants, and back down again. Other sources also claim she had rhinoplasty to narrow her nose, lip augmentation and Botox.

But, Megan Fox is no plastic surgery virgin either, and is rumored to have had some facial work done and breast augmentation, according to the experts at In Touch: “Her upper and lower lips appear fuller. It looks like she had Restylane or Juvéderm injections. The bridge of her nose is thinner and the tip is more refined. The well-defined contour of an implant is apparent. She was probably an A cup and became a large B.”

Only the retouching crew at Armani will really know who had what done.

Defending herself from criticism over her razor-sharp clavicles and size-0 fashion line critics say only fits her, Victoria Beckham tells Now Magazine she has a healthy diet and doesn’t starve herself.

“I’ve been accused of not eating for 10 years. If I hadn’t eaten for 10 years, I’d be hungry… I think there’s a big difference between someone having an eating disorder and someone who is controlled about what they eat. I think I could do with putting on some weight, but this is the way I am.”

In June, British tabloids had a field day when rumors were flying that Beckham had her breast implants removed to appear even thinner. In 1999, she went from a 34A to a 34D, but denied having had surgery in a BBC interview. She later recanted in 2003, admitting she had breast augmentation.

But, when the Spice Girls reunited for their recent world tour, Beckham’s streamlined appearance had people talking once again.

“There is speculation she had her implants taken out for the tour so she can fit into the costumes without the risk of them falling out during some of the more energetic routines,” a confidential source told the UK’s Daily Mail. Other sources speculate she has changed her image to be taken seriously as a fashion designer.

After one tumultuous appearance on The View, Heidi Montag Pratt returns as a guest host on the daytime talk show. Montag will be filling in along with a string of guest hosts, so far including Kate Gosselin and Victoria Beckham, while permanent View cast member Elizabeth Hasslebeck is on maternity leave.

In her last appearance on The View, along with husband and Hills co-star Spencer Pratt, Heidi faced criticism from Whoopi Goldberg, who told the couple, “Get yourselves together or you’re going to be in the street. You’re going to have to take responsibility. You’re too old now. Last year it was cute. Now you’re adults.”

Heidi and Spencer have been accused by bloggers and other media personalities of using their visibility on The Hills to make money. They have been prominently featured in tabloids and celebrity magazines on various outings that appear to be staged for publicity.

E! Online actually banned coverage of couple, saying in a statement to the New York Daily News, “It was just a question of overexposure and wondering how much of the news about them was truly news or contrived.”

They may need those publicity stunts to afford their doctor’s bills — both Heidi and Spencer have opted for plastic surgery to enhance their looks on The Hills. Heidi has been open to the media about her nose job and breast augmentation, and Spencer has followed suit, getting calf implants in 2008.

And, Heidi says she’s not finished. “I plan to get a few more upgrades,” she told People Magazine, “I’m sure as I get older I’ll need some touch-ups.”

Victoria Beckham and Simon Cowell have plans to spend the night together. But, their less-than-clandestine rendezvous will be televised for millions of music fans worldwide.

Beckham is slated to join American Idol for its upcoming season premier, replacing eight-season veteran Paula Abdul. So, how did the former Posh Spice, an A list celebrity but D list singer, score the gig?

According to a recent article in People magazine, when Paula Abdul resigned,  Simon Cowell rang up his fellow Brit, Victoria, to jump in.

“It needs a big star. Simon Cowell and Victoria have always got on,” an insider told UK’s The Sun. “It would be an incredible coup to get Posh. She was in one of the biggest girl groups in history so she knows what she is talking about.”

But Beckham’s spokesperson said that it’s simply a single episode event. Victoria will be concentrating on her fashion line.

Victoria has shown great dedication to her role of fashion icon… even going under the knife to achieve different signature looks. Several years ago, she underwent a breast augmentation operation, taking her bantam bustline to a double-D.

In his Celebrity Cosmetic Surgery Blog, Dr. Tony Youn described her “oh-so-obvious” implants as overfilled, and likely placed on top of the muscle, so that they were only covered by skin. Over the past several years, Beckham also frequently fell under criticism for the unnatural looking orbs crushed against her rib cage by the corset-top dresses she favored.

But in early summer 2009, Posh paid a visit to her doc once again not to enlarge, but to reduce her breast size. “She felt that was part of her old WAG image – the big hair, big boobs and fake tan – and that she has moved on since those days,” an insider told The Sun.

Other sources indicate that Victoria believes that the smaller breasts are better for her high fashion wardrobe and look better in couture. (Her husband, soccer player David Beckham, looks good in whatever he wears, although he leans toward designer duds, too.)

Whatever her role, whether judging young divas on Idol or sending shockwaves through the fashion world, Victoria is sure to make a splash with fans.

Paula Abdul leaving American Idol? It’s true! The question is… Why? Why the sudden disappearance from the show that revamped her career like nothing else ever could? While rumors have been flying this past week, Paula confirmed via Twitter that she was done with the top-rated singing contest. Immediately the internet was abuzz with conspiracy theories and accusations about her abrupt departure. Was she voted off by her fellow judges? Has the American public had enough of Paula’s occasional gaffes? Or, was last year’s addition of Kara DioGuardi to the panel of critics an early sign that Abdul would not be allowed to age gracefully before the cameras?

The New York Times was the first to set the record straight. According to the Times’ notorious Page 6, “Paula Abdul had been lobbying for a major pay bump in contract negotiations that had been going on since the spring. These negotiations started when news of Ryan Seacrest’s alleged $45 million dollar deal became public.” But it would seem that these negotiations did not go the way Miss Paula planned according to her tweet: “With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day 1 become an international phenomenon…”

Though money is a probable reason for her quick jump off the Idol train, other rumors are circulating about Paula’s appearance. With an intense and sometimes painful beauty regimen, Paula is fighting the war against wrinkles like all of the stars her age. Did her on-camera appearance play a role in her getting the boot?

First, her nose looks thinner and shorter, possibly due to a rhinoplasty. So, the next question is, who on earth is willing to replace the lovable but loopy Abdul? How about a platinum selling recording artist who was a member of the most successful girl group in history? (No, not The Jonas Brothers.) The Idol cast will be joined by none other than Victoria Beckham, the Spice Girl formerly known as Posh.

But, not for long. In a recent FOX News article, it was reported that “Simon Cowell asked his old pal to join him as a judge. Posh will appear on the show on a one-time deal. Her representatives have explained that she has chosen to do only one episode because she is focusing on her fashion line.”
