What is buttock augmentation?
Dr. Peter Fodor, MD FACS, has had the opportunity not only to train in Brazil but also to teach other Brazilian surgeons in many aspects of aesthetic surgery including Buttocks augmentation-using silicone implants. More recently, he has become convinced that a safer and better way to do buttocks augmentation is to use the patient’s own fat tissue. This approach results in a two-for-one gain, so to speak.
What is involved in a fat injection buttock augmentation?
The procedure consists of a combination of liposuction of various areas of the patient’s body followed by precise injections of fat into the buttocks. For example, fat can first be harvested by liposuction from the patient’s love handles, outer thighs, buttocks, abdomen, or elsewhere and thus the patient’s figure has already been made more attractive. Then, the fat is processed and purified before it is reinjected carefully with small injections into the buttocks. The surgeon shapes the buttocks on the operating table, which allows for a more complete contouring of the buttocks tissue.
Patients have been extremely happy with the results and this method of buttock augmentation is something that will be considered by more patients as it can be added to make their figure or silhouette more attractive.
