Groupon Deals for Plastic Surgery?

Groupon is great at finding deals on restaurants, yoga clubs and spa treatments for your dog, but cosmetic surgery? Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. William P. Adams Jr. makes it clear that seeking out Groupon deals for cosmetic surgery may be an unfortunate mistake and could cost you more in the long run.

If price is your top concern when looking for plastic surgery, you may need to rethink your priorities. We’re talking about surgical procedures on your body, not whether you want pizza or a dance lesson. Ever seen plastic surgery results on TV that make you wonder whether or not the person wanted to look more like an alien than a human? Such results are the product of choosing surgeons based on your wallet rather than goals and desires.

Procedures performed by properly trained, board certified plastic surgeons are actually a better bang for your buck. Nevertheless, figuring out who has the  proper credentials can be challenging.  Doing  your homework is well worth the time.    Groupon offers cut rate procedures, but the  process is backwards.  Patients should research the surgeon first. Letting price be the primary driver has lead to many  tragic results; with a researched surgeon, you won’t find patients regretting their decisions and feverishly running back to Groupon to find a deal on how to fix their face.
