Injectable fillers and Botox continue to be the all-stars of non-surgical plastic surgery. With a simple injection in the right hands, injectable products can mask years of aging – something female patients have exponentially embraced. The same products create the same great results for men!
Board certified plastic surgeons discuss injectable products for men on the latest episode of No Spin Live, considering even reports that the infamous Russian President Vladimir Putin may be utilizing injectable power!
Men and Injectable Fillers
For all of the great success that injectable products have achieved, men still are either hesitant to join or late to the game. The benefits female patients see can also be found for men. The latter, too, are looking for quick, non-surgical ways to erase a decade or more.
“Men have not taken advantage of this and it’s ridiculous,” shares board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Zienowicz. “You look at all the wives that come in and look spectacular. And their husbands looks 30-40 years older, it’s not far. Guys need to wake up!”
Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Sean Doherty of Boston thinks there are no real why guys who are curious shouldn’t try injectable products out. Should guys not be getting fillers and Botox “Absolutely not, I have problems when they’re not getting it!” Doherty says. “In general, more guys are coming in [for fillers]. I think their goal is to just look refreshed and to look a little more on their game. More guys are doing it, and more guys should!”
Men and plastic surgery has always been fairly taboo. Even with all of the new-age non-surgical procedures and devices, men still only account for roughly 10% of all plastic surgery procedures. Expert surgeons believe this trend is heading towards men opening up to the idea, especially when it comes to an injectable product that is easily and routinely performed. Depending on the treatment, these procedures can take no longer than a lunch break.
“If you look at statistics across the board, 10% of plastic surgery is men,” shares board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Jason Pozner. “Especially in bigger areas like Boston and New York, you’re definitely seeing a lot of professionals coming in for a little bit. It’s good for all of us. No problem, no shame, come on in.”
