Meghan Markle, now known as the Duchess of Sussex and wife of Prince Harry of England, is one of the current most watched and admired women in the world. She is a beauty influencer, including for the realm of plastic surgery. As it turns out, thousands of people are focused on her face, in particular her nose. They want her nose and are willing to try rhinoplasty to get it.
The ‘Meghan Markle’ Nose
Her nose is often referred to as ‘pure perfection,’ along with her face, legs and overall look. Meghan Markle is seen as the image of beauty. She is inspiring others to change their look and try to mimic her signature nose. “She’s beautiful and her nose is just striking,” says Dr. Brooke R. Seckel.
The board certified plastic surgeon from Boston, Massachusetts says with its refined narrow tip and elevation, Markle’s nose is very unique. Trying to repeat what she had done, he says is difficult. “To get a Megan Markle nose, you have to do things that you don’t do standard on every rhinoplasty.”
Still, it’s a sought-after look. Seckel says he has requests for the ‘Meghan’ nose, including the side profile hump – which in the past may have been considered a beauty imperfection but today is being embraced. “Sadly, most people, about 9 out of 10, could never have a Meghan Markle nose,” Seckel details. “You have to have a patient with the right shape and good bones. They must have significant tip cartridge that you can graft a tip on.”
Celebrate Your Own Look
Even with the BEST plastic surgery, most of us will never have a nose that looks like Meghan Markle’s, and even if we did, it wouldn’t come with her seemingly glamorous, royal life. It’s a personal decision to move forward with plastic surgery to change something that is bothersome or embarrassing, but many plastic surgeons advise that ‘copy cat’ thinking isn’t always in your best interest.
Focus on making the best of your features, explains Dr. Ned Snyder. “I get it when people see someone’s nose and they think that is what they want and they bring in a picture that is attractive, but I don’t ever try to give them someone’s nose – or anything else.” Snyder, a board certified plastic surgeon in Austin, Texas, advises patients that it is not a good idea to try to look like a celebrity or anyone else. “I think it’s more important to talk about their own features and how we are going to fix or change their nose,” says Snyder.
Why Celebrity Copy Cat Looks Are Popular
It isn’t unusual for someone to want to have Meghan Markle’s nose, or Kim Kardashian’s rear end. People idolize celebrities and some take that adoration to the extreme with plastic surgery.
Just be aware that if your goal is to look like someone else, you may be disappointed with the results. Experts say it’s more realistic to transform into the best, most natural YOU possible. In the end that’s always the best result you can hope for with plastic surgery.
