Is Capsular Contracture the Body Rejecting Breast Implants?

The complication is when the capsule – the pocket created where the implant is placed – tightens around the implant. This causes a host of issues including pain, discomfort, and deformities of the chest that are visibly apparent, sometimes even with clothes on.
