In this PSC Case Files, board certified plastic surgeons Dr. Anu Bajaj of Oklahoma City and Dr. Ashley Gordon of Austin discuss a patient of Dr. Bajaj who was trying to correct potential Breast Implant Illness (BII) symptoms by having her implants removed. Furthermore, she was continuing her weight loss journey and was searching for a way to recounter her abdomen having lost significant weight.
As Dr. Gordon mentions, regardless of the presence of potential BII, addressing the patient’s breasts with a breast reduction, lift, and implant removal would go a long way toward making her feel better. This is exactly what Dr. Bajaj did, and after two further procedures addressing the patient’s abdomen and thighs, she was able to achieve quite the transformation. And while a series of 3 procedures took about 18 months to complete, the patient came away feeling great and whole again, inside and out.
