Sweat Stains No More
The three-time Emmy award winner says that she gets Botox injections in her forehead and armpits every seven months. “I feel like (Botox) makes my makeup artist’s life easier, and it makes my eyes look a little more open on TV, which is where I happen to work right now.” And having the ability to control her sweating, allows her to confidently be on air everyday without worrying about sweat stains on her clothes.
Dr. Peter Fodor, a board certified plastic surgeon from Beverly Hills, California explains how Botox can help eliminate excess sweating. “If we inject the glands that cause the sweating with Botox, we can diminish significantly the patient’s sweat production.” Like any Botox procedure, the effects only last several months, so patients must continue to receive injections at regular intervals.
More than just Sweat and Wrinkles
Botox is being utilized for many issues we may be insecure about. “The Botox injection can significantly reduce grinding of the teeth to a point where patients do not need to wear a night guard,” says Dr. Fodor. It can also help if you suffer from painful migraines. “The procedure is proactive,” says Fodor. Botox injections at certain trigger points can lessen, if not block, migraine headaches from nine months to a year. With the growing abilities of Botox, not only can you be treated without going under the knife, but you will also be saving a significant amount of money.
