Lots of prep goes into planning a wedding. Picking the perfect dress, ordering flower arrangements, dealing with caterers, and getting the right plastic surgery? Well, that may not be on everyone’s to do list, but for most women wanting to feel beautiful on their big day, plastic surgery can be one of the key elements to looking your best.
Reality star Kim Kardashian recently got engaged to the notorious R&B artist Kanye West. Kim gave birth to their first child, North West (yes that’s her name), back in June. Since then, Kim has lost all her baby fat and is now focusing on cosmetic procedures.
Picture Perfect Photos
So far, Kim has gotten botox and fillers in preparation for the wedding. She has also allegedly been receiving OptiLipo for her butt and thighs. With her wedding set for May, the question remains, as to which procedure she plans on getting next?
“Brides-to-be have asked for everything from Botox injections to facelifts, eyelid surgeries, breast augmentations, tummy tucks and even full body lifts,’ says Dr. Nahai. And both grooms and brides request laser skin therapies.
Bye Bye Baby, Hello Tummy
Dr. Jackie Yee, a board certified plastic surgeon, from Miami, Florida says, “You may need a mini tummy tuck or full abdominoplasty, depending on your anatomy. The only way you can figure out which one you need is to go seek out a consultation with a doctor who specializes in that particular field.”
For a non-surgical option, you can try Coolsculpting. The procedure is a nonsurgical alternative to liposuction. Dr. Bruce Van Natta, a board certified plastic from Indiana, explains, “The device pulls skin and fat into an applicator between two chill plates. About 25% of the cells in the treated area die, are slowly broken down, and carried away and removed by the liver. The removal process can take up to three months so results are not immediate. ” The best areas for treatment are love handles, abdominal area, inner thighs, and the bra fat area. These areas can be treated 2 or 3 times until you achieve the result you desire.
Timing is Everything
Timing is the most important factor when choosing to undergo plastic surgery before a wedding. You must first give yourself plenty of time to seek out multiple consultations with a board certified plastic surgeon. After having the surgery you should give yourself time to heal. Some patients will begin planning their cosmetic surgery a year before their wedding in order to get the look they want and the best results possible.
