Anureet Bajaj, MD

Dr. Anureet Bajaj is a highly respected plastic surgeon who is widely recognized for her breast surgery and reconstructive skills. Her cosmetic surgery expertise also includes facial surgery, body sculpting, and minimally invasive procedures. She is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

In 2007, she returned home to Oklahoma City to join her father in the practice of plastic surgery. Today, she and her father still work side-by-side for the complex DIEP flap breast reconstruction procedures.

In 2014, she relocated Bajaj Plastic Surgery to a new custom-built office building with an accredited operating room. Known for her friendly relationships with her patients, Dr. Bajaj’s clinic in Oklahoma City offers a warm, inviting environment where patients are treated like individuals.

Whether it’s a cancer survivor who is suffering from a disfigurement, or a woman who desires cosmetic improvement of an area that bothers her, Dr. Bajaj says that every patient’s case is very personal. She provides an honest assessment about whether or not she recommends going forward with that particular procedure. “Life is about the relationships we build – and what I enjoy about my patients is those relationships. Ultimately, it is always about the patient and helping to make a difference.”

Her specialties include micro-vascular breast reconstruction, including DIEP flaps (she is one of the very few who performs this surgery in Oklahoma); breast reduction; implant removal; implant revision; tummy tucks; facial and eye rejuvenation; and body lifts after weight loss. Her foundation and extensive training in reconstructive surgery has given her the ability to analyze and correct even the most challenging aesthetic problems.

Dr. Bajaj’s patients look refreshed, more youthful and, as she says, “like a better version of themselves.” The proof is that most of Dr. Bajaj’s patients come from referrals. In fact, very often breast reduction patients come back for cosmetic procedures, or previous patients have referred their friends and family. There is no better compliment to a surgeon than to build a practice based on word-of-mouth.

In addition to her work as a surgeon, Dr. Bajaj enjoys painting, running and writing. Her art gives her a chance to be creative in a different way from her practice, although she says there is a link between the two, given that she has to be very observant to create beauty. As a marathon runner, she finds a certain peace that clears her head and gives her a sense of calm — each morning run helps her to prepare for the day ahead.

Dr. Bajaj is a highly active member of the plastic surgery community. She has published numerous articles in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and other medical periodicals; presented at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons Annual Meeting and the Plastic Surgery Research Council, and has been an invited speaker for the Ohio Valley Society of Plastic Surgery, Chesapeake Energy Corporation, and other groups.

She has completed the Leadership Academy sponsored by the Oklahoma County Medical Society as well as the Pathways to Leadership program sponsored by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Bajaj values her relationships with other plastic surgeons across the country, which helps to keep her abreast of the latest developments in the field. Currently, she is also on the Editorial Board of Plastic Surgery – Global Open and the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Prior to returning home to Oklahoma City, Dr. Bajaj previously served as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati, as well as the Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Cincinnati.
