Dr. Joseph Kelling is a highly trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon that specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. He has a comprehensive and individualized approach to caring for his patients. Starting with the consultation, his primary focus is to create a welcoming environment to allow for open discussion about aesthetic surgery. With each surgical operation, Dr. Kelling is seeking to provide natural-appearing rejuvenation of the patient’s features.
Dr. Kelling is a lifelong learner and is always seeking to implement cutting edge techniques in his practice. His love for anatomy and eye for the aesthetic ideal set him apart from the rest. He strives to further his own education within plastic surgery so that he can better educate his patients. He has several publications in the two leading journals in plastic surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the Aesthetic Surgery Journal. Through continued education, Dr. Kelling seeks to provide the best possible aesthetic outcome, all while maintaining an emphasis on patient safety.
His personal philosophy focuses on achieving natural appearing results for his patients without the people around them knowing that they’ve had something done. He believes that a great surgical result is like a well-tailored dress, the both simply enhance your most beautiful features.
He is originally from Kansas City, but his undergraduate and medical degrees are from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Upon completion of his medical degree, he matriculated into the highly competitive six year plastic surgery training program and UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas. He now helps educate and mentor the residents that are coming through this same training program annually.
Dr. Kelling’s special interests in plastic surgery include comprehensive facial rejuvenation, rhinoplasty, lasers for improvement in skin dyspigmentation and texture/resurfacing, breast augmentation, and breast rejuvenation surgery.
