Patricia McGuire, MD

 

Dr. McGuire is a board- certified plastic surgeon and Clinical Instructor of Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo. She graduated from the University of Missouri- Kansas City, School of Medicine in 1985, performed her residency in General Surgery at Jewish Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine from 1985-1989, followed by a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Louis University 1989-1991. She has been in private practice with Parkcrest Plastic Surgery since 1991.

 

Dr. McGuire is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and was awarded the American Medical Women’s Association Award for Academic Achievement in 1985. She was president of the St. Louis Area Society of Plastic Surgeons 2004-2007. Dr. McGuire is member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Medical Women’s Association, Association of Women Surgeons, Missouri State Medical Society, and the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society. St. Louis Magazine has named her as one of the “Best Doctors” every year since 2005.

 

Dr. McGuire is a principal investigator in the Allergan Style 410 since 2001 and has extensive experience using highly cohesive breast implants in both cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery. Her experience was presented in a paper at the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons in Melbourne, Australia in 2008. She has spent time in Stockholm, Sweden with Dr. Charles Randquist, considered an expert in the use of Style 410 implants. She also has experience with other options for breast augmentation and reconstruction using silicone and saline implants.

 

Dr.McGuire specializes in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast including augmentation, reduction, and breast lift, as well as cancer reconstruction. She also performs body contouring procedures including Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction and abdominoplasty.
